Aslan Bazarkhanov is a master jeweler and contemporary jewelry designer with over ten years of professional experience and an established international practice spanning Turkey, Russia, Armenia, and Kazakhstan. His work is rooted in an original reinterpretation of Kazakh ornamental heritage and broader cultural sources, including the shared heritage of Central Asia, the cultural exchange of the Silk Road, the principles of balance and minimalism found in Eastern philosophy, and universal symbols of the classical Mediterranean world. His designs transform traditional symbols and cultural codes into contemporary artistic forms, preserving their meaning while making them accessible to an international audience.
In 2020, he founded an independent jewelry brand and author-driven jewelry studio, ӘWEQEY, in Almaty, where he serves as Founder, Lead Designer, and Creative Director. Through this studio, he creates and presents original and limited-edition collections crafted in gold, silver, and natural gemstones. His works are conceived as independent artistic projects and are recognized as objects of contemporary jewelry art rather than conventional commercial products.
